What do I do with all of these? I know I can send my silver back to the supplier for credit, but what about base metal?  It’s times like these when I wish I had a rolling mill so I could melt this down and roll out new sheets.  (Do you think anyone has ever asked for a rolling mill for christmas?)

Gifts for Guys


With Valentine’s Day rapidly approaching, all sorts of fun, frilly things are for sale.  The problem is that they are mostly items for women.  This is great, as it gives our significant others plenty to choose from, but what about the guys?  They need cool stuff, too, but where is it?

The Etsy Gift Guide for Him is a great place to start. Of course, it’s not inclusive – it skipped my shop!

I’ve just introduced my first piece of jewelry for men – the Cupertino Ring. It’s a piece of sturdy 20 gauge copper, formed into a band, hammered for what almost looks like a snake-skin effect, and sanded to a matte, brushed finish.

I’ve just ordered a bunch of new material from Rio Grande and am revamping my work station.  Watch this space for new and exciting items that will make perfect Valentine’s Day gifts!  In the meantime, I’ve already got a gift section set up in my Etsy shop, AntiGenre Arts, full of sparkly treasures, including my Cassis and Lillium Earrings.
