Just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed your photos on Flickr. My mother was Japanese and lived on Amami Oshima. She lost touch with her family after she married my father and moved to the US. She became ill and died and wasn’t able to tell me how to get in touch with her family. I just recently found and contacted them. I hope to someday meet my relatives on Amami Oshima. Your photos meant alot to me. They made me feel closer to my relatives and helped me to see some of my mother’s life.
